Super computers
Our scientists use powerful computers to help them understand things.
Spotting patterns in your experiment results can take a long time. That’s where our computers come in.
Our scientists use lots of different kinds of computers to do their research. When they have lots of information from their experiments, they use super computers.
These computers are much more powerful than smartphones or other computers you might have seen before. We have whole rooms at the Crick full of computers.
These computers hold millions of bits of information and help us to find patterns in the information. If you’ve ever written down your results in a table, you know how much information an experiment can make.
